Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead projects, mentor staff, and shape the future of infrastructure in New York. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into a leadership or ownership position, contributing to a firm committed to quality, transparency, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage municipal and utility infrastructure projects across all phases of development
- Lead design and QA/QC of construction documents, specs, and estimates
- Coordinate with agencies, utility partners, and local governments
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record on selected projects
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical staff
- Support business development and client relationships
- Apply tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, STACK, and GIS
- Ensure compliance with PMI, CSI, and NYS regulatory standards
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. preferred)
- Licensed PE in New York State (required)
- 8+ years’ experience in civil/municipal infrastructure
- Strong skills in water/wastewater and linear infrastructure design
- Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, Primavera P6, and PMIS platforms
- Knowledge of EFC, USDA-RD, and NYSERDA programs a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with MBE/WBE programs and public funding processes

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly experienced CAD professional with a two-year technical degree who thrives in infrastructure and utility design environments. The Senior Designer works closely with project engineers to develop construction documents and support field coordination. You’ll play a key role in helping deliver quality plans that improve the lives of communities across New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed civil design drawings for municipal infrastructure projects
- Prepare plans, profiles, and cross-sections for water, sewer, and storm systems
- Translate engineering markups and sketches into technical CAD drawings
- Collaborate with engineers on design iterations and QA/QC corrections
- Maintain organized drawing sets, blocks, layers, and file management protocols
- Support field investigations, surveys, and construction documentation
- Participate in coordination with clients, utilities, and regulatory agencies
- Use design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS platforms, and PMIS tools like Procore or STACK
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in civil design or drafting for public infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required
- Experience with utility coordination, grading, and plan production workflows
- Familiarity with GIS tools and construction documentation platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and file management
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
