Our Story
BGA Engineering, PLLC is a re-envisioned derivative of the Firm – Burley-Guminiak & Associates that formed as the result of the partnering between two well established consulting engineers, formerly employed by a large New York State architectural/engineering firm in 1996. Originally organized as a partnership, our business transitioned to Burley-Guminiak & Associates, Consulting Engineers, P.L.L.C.
From 1996 to 2012 the firm was recognized as specialists in civil, site, environmental, mechanical and electrical engineering; construction administration, geographical information systems, and grantsmanship.
In 2012 the firm was sold.
From 2015 to March 2025 – principal Member Tim Burley, P.E. worked at the New York Power Authority where his last position was that of Sr. Program Director of Project Management where he oversaw the construction management teams of the New York Power Authority across the State. Mr. Guminiak worked for the Purchasing firm as a Sr. Project Manager until 2020 at which time he went into retirement. The team is back, while older we are stronger, better, wiser, based on experience gained in the time that intervened.
BGA Engineering clients will have a Senior owner/member actively involved in every project.
BGA Engineering strives to maintain advanced services, both technologically and professionally, while simultaneously laying the groundwork for the future. The team of gathered professionals, some from the original BGA, and infused with new professional talent thrives on pride of work and excellence.
We will be bringing best in class Engineering/PM/CM services honed working on Mega Projects and Project Portfolios from Mr. Burley’s career at the New York Power Authority.
We will be emphasizing cloud-based collaborative project delivery using Stack, Procore, Autocad, and other Leading Industry Tools.
We have mature business practices honed with mature project delivery methods supported by PMI and CSI.
We believe that it is imperative to organize and execute work based on risk, quality, safety, schedule and fiduciary responsibility and oversight.
